Alabama football got Trent Seaborn back on campus Friday for an unofficial visit.
Seaborn is a 2027 four-star quarterback prospect, and he is currently committed to the Crimson Tide. He attends Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama.
The junior’s latest visit to Tuscaloosa got rolling with him catching up with Kalen DeBoer and his staff.
“We got there early, and I got a chance to sit down and catch up with coach DeBoer and Courtney Morgan and some of the other staff before practice, which was awesome,” Seaborn said. “Spent some time with the coaches too, then toured campus again and checked out the dorms.”
Alabama football went to work in its second scrimmage of the spring Friday with Seaborn in attendance. The four-star stayed close to Alabama’s offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb during the scrimmage.
“Practice was outstanding, super competitive and high energy,” Seaborn said. “Coach Ellis and Braxton (Barker) have been spending time with me, helping me get more familiar with how they teach the quarterback position, so I can hit the ground running when I get there in December. I stayed close to coach Grubb on the sidelines and got a really good feel for how he and the staff see the offense and interact with the quarterbacks. Grubb brings serious intensity, but you can tell how much he loves his guys. He and Ellis coach them up hard every time they come off the field. It was super productive and efficient.”
No 2027 recruit has visited the Crimson Tide more than Seaborn. It has gotten to the point where Alabama recruiting coordinators are unclear about how many times he has been to Tuscaloosa.
“As always, the whole staff made me feel so welcomed and like family,” said Seaborn. “One of the recruiting coordinators even joked that they’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been up there. It was a great visit. Can’t wait to be back for A-Day next weekend.”
With his commitment to the Tide locked in, one of Seaborn’s main focuses is helping Thompson win yet another state championship.
