The communication leader for Alabama football is now in the National Football League.
Who does Alabama lean on to replace LT Overton at ‘Bandit?’
He excelled in one year at Washington on the offensive line, but Parker Brailsford followed Kalen DeBoer to the Crimson Tide. The Arizona native earned the starting job at center for two seasons, aiding Jalen Milroe (2024) and Ty Simpson (2025) to success in back-to-back years.
Who does Alabama lean on to replace Germie Bernard at receiver?
Brailsford protected Simpson in the pocket to account for 3,567 passing yards and 30 total touchdowns (two rushing scores) in 2025. He paced the Tide to the College Football Playoff last season, including a first-round comeback victory over Oklahoma.
Brailsford, a third-team All-SEC selection, was taken in the fifth round of the NFL Draft to the Cleveland Browns. Who will direct traffic up front for Alabama in the fall?
Racin Delgatty
Racin Delgatty, a transfer from Cal Poly, is the option to replace Brailsford.
He had a really good spring, taking all first-team reps at center. The 6-foot-3, 301-pounder worked in 22 games across three seasons, including 11 starts at center in 2025. Coach DeBoer was really pleased with how Delgatty communicated protections and got everyone to play with efficiency in the spring.
Kaden Strayhorn
Kaden Strayhorn, a transfer from Michigan, would become the option at center if an injury happened to Delgatty.
He took all second-team reps at the position in spring practice. Strayhorn, a product of IMG Academy, is a Michigan native who played in two games for his home state team in 2025.
The 6-foot-2, 313-pounder is an athletic redshirt freshman that is hungry for an opportunity.
Will Sanders
It may not happen, but having William Sanders at center is an interesting option to explore.
He does have 17 games of experience as an offensive guard, so the Brookwood (Ala.) native may provide positional flexibility. The 6-foot-3, 315-pounder came to the Tide as a four-star in its 2024 signing class.
Sanders did not practice this spring because of an injury from last season that he recovered from. Nick Brooks, Ethan Fields, and Mal Waldrep all received work at left guard in spring practice; however, Sanders could very well take his position back in preseason camp.
Casey Poe
Casey Poe is another intriguing option to look at for the center role.
The native Texan came in as one of the top interior offensive linemen in the 2024 recruiting class. Poe, a redshirt sophomore, fits the profile of a guard or center at 6’3” and 324 pounds.
We will soon see where he fits in Adrian Klemm’s vision up front.
