Alabama football extended an offer to Zion Coger on Monday.
Coger is a 2028 prospect, and he attends Jasper High School in Alabama. The rising junior now holds offers from Alabama, LSU, South Carolina, Oregon and others. Earning an Alabama offer marks yet another milestone in Jasper’s early recruitment, with his first-ever offer coming from LSU.
“It means a lot to my family and me because Alabama is such a standout program across the state,” Coger told Touchdown Alabama. “My overall thoughts on Alabama are nothing but great. Every time I watch one of their games, it’s always a show.”
Coger’s Alabama offer comes after the running back impressed the Crimson Tide’s coaching staff at camp.
The 5-foot-11, 190-pounder is one of the most complete running back prospects in the 2028 class, with his blend of size, explosiveness and vision. The talented back knows how to find green grass and make defenders miss when he has the football in his hands.
“I would say my effort, always trying my hardest, along with my vision,” Coger said when he asked what are the strengths of his game.
Touchdown Alabama has also witnessed his ability to make plays as a receiving option out of the backfield on the 7v7 circuit with All Gas.
