Alabama football’s starting safety Bray Hubbard highlighted his favorite Crimson Tide teammate on “Hey Coach.”

Hubbard is a defensive leader for the Tide, and he is walking in the footsteps of a former Alabama defender he looks up to.

“My favorite player over the years that I’ve been here, probably just Malachi (Moore), I think,” Hubbard said. “Just everything that he did as a leader of our team and then just his personality. He’s also got a great family. I don’t know if you’ve ever met his mom. She is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met; just the impact that he had on me. That’s probably one of my favorite teammates that I’ve had. Obviously, I’ve had a lot of great teammates, but just one in my position group that kind of made an impact on me, and I’d have to give it to him.”

Moore signed with Alabama as a four-star defensive back out of Hewitt-Trussville High School in Trussville, Alabama. He spent five seasons at the University of Alabama before getting drafted by the New York Jets in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

The former Alabama defensive back currently plays for the Jets.

Hubbard and Moore played together at Alabama in 2023 and 2024.
