Florida State’s 2024 five-star running back pledge, Kam Davis made his first visit to Alabama since picking up an offer from the Crimson Tide in March Saturday.

Davis currently attends Dougherty High School in Albany, Georgia. He holds more than ten D1 offers, including offers from Georgia and Notre Dame. The Georgia product has been verbally committed to the Seminoles since Feb. 25, 2021.

The Florida State commit said the organization of Alabama’s first scrimmage of the spring stood out during his visit to Tuscaloosa over the weekend.

“What stood out the most was the practice,” said Davis. “Their practice was organized, and they kept a balanced tempo. They were very balanced in keeping the strings together and did not have to make too many subs.”

Alabama offered the 2024 prospect on March. 9. Davis, who played quarterback during his sophomore season, is expected to play running back at the next level. He told Touchdown Alabama he was impressed with Alabama’s development of the running back position.

“I think it is a very nice program,” Davis said. “It is a historical program, and they do a good job maintaining their athletes. I think they are great at putting running backs in the league. They are a great running back school, and they do a great job at feeding their running backs. The running back development and the running backs’ abilities to make a name for themselves is big for them.”

Davis’ Saturday visit to Alabama allowed him to catch up with some of Alabama’s coaches, including the Tide’s running back coach Robert Gillespie. Nick Saban also caught up with the five-star recruit.

“I feel coach Saban is a very chilled and relaxed coach, but he can get rowdy if players are not playing their best because he has a high expectations for his players,” said Davis.

Davis currently stands at 5-foot-11 and weighs approximately 195 pounds. He is a physical and shifty runner, who can do some damage in the open field. He compiled 3,150 total yards and 31 total touchdowns during his sophomore season.

Davis’ recruitment has a long way to go, but he remains committed to the Seminoles. He will be in Tallahassee next weekend for Florida State’s spring game.
