The Pittsburgh Steelers will be without one of its defensive leaders Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.
According to a report from NFL.com, Minkah Fitzpatrick will be out of Sunday’s matchup with appendicitis.
The former first-round pick of the 2018 NFL Draft has been a leader for the Steelers since arriving in September 2019 in a trade from the Miami Dolphins. Fitzpatrick is second for total tackles (45) this season and has a team-high three interceptions. He has defended six passes, including an interception returned for a touchdown. Fitzpatrick has 13 career picks with the Steelers.

He came to the University of Alabama in 2015 as a five-star recruit from New Jersey.
Fitzpatrick assisted Alabama’s defense to two College Football Playoff National Championships in 2015 and 2017.
