He has received good advice in his NFL Draft process, but he’s also gotten comedy as well.
Bryce Young, a University of Alabama alum, has visited the Carolina Panthers and is visiting the Houston Texans as arguably the best quarterback prospect in the draft. People have nitpicked his size since he became a starter for the Crimson Tide, but it never stopped him from being an incredible player. He won the Heisman Memorial Trophy and captivated the imagination of everyone in college football as a two-year starter. Several draft pundits regard him as the quarterback with the most ‘magic’ in this class.

He cannot do anything about being 5-10 and 204 pounds, but NFL royalty did offer Young some hilarious advice.
In an ESPN docuseries, On The Clock, Peyton and Eli Manning discuss Young. The SEC and NFL legends watched a film from Alabama’s victory over Kansas State in the Allstate Sugar Bowl. They watched a clip of Young hugging offensive lineman JC Latham, who is 6-6. Both Mannings’ hilariously stated that Young needs to stand by guys in the NFL that make him look taller.

“That’s the only thing the NFL needs to work on with Bryce,” Peyton said. “Don’t hug the 6’6″ lineman.”
Eli suggested that Young stands by the kicker in the NFL. Peyton offered the advice of standing next to Nick Saban.
Young did that a lot in 2022, and the California native looked taller than his head coach. He brings everything needed on the field to be a successful quarterback in the league. It will be exciting to see where Young ends up.
