Several former Alabama Crimson Tide standouts have been named to the annual Top 100 NFL Players list, and the lastest is Amari Cooper.
The Cleveland Browns and Cooper reached an agreement, restructuring his contract earlier this week. The former Alabama pass catcher was looking for, and got, better compensation after an impressive season. He landed at No. 70 in the 2024 NFL Top 100.
Cooper enters his tenth NFL season and his game has earned high praise from opposing defenders across the league.
“A guy that’s kind of been like a consistent thousand-yard receiver and been doing his thing, and people still don’t give him credit, is really Amari Cooper,” Eagles cornerback, Darius Slay said when asked his opinion on who’s the league’s most underrated receiver.
The ultra-consistent veteran playmaker has emerged as multiple Browns quarterbacks’ top target, racking up 1,160 receiving yards in 2022 and 1,250 in 2023.
