ESPN College Football Playoff expert, Heather Dinich feels Alabama football will drop to No. 9 in the next College Football Playoff rankings after losing to Oklahoma.

Dinich feels the committee will now look at Alabama and Oklahoma like a package deal, and will put the Sooners one slot ahead of Alabama at No. 8.

“How do they sort through the two-loss teams now and by that I’m talking about Oklahoma, Alabama and Notre Dame,” Dinich said on ESPN’s SportsCenter. “My sense is they will honor Oklahoma’s head-to-head win at Alabama and treat them as a package deal, right? You take the two of them and are they either above the Irish or below the Irish? I predicted they will be above the Irish because Oklahoma now has three top 25 wins and back-to-back road wins against Tennessee and Alabama. Alabama has wins against Georgia, Vandy, Mizzou and the Vols and I think when you take those two resumes, those two-loss teams in that committee meeting room will have an edge over Notre Dame.”

Alabama football awaits to see where it will fall Tuesday when the next College Football Playoff rankings are released.
