Thompson versatile 2027 ATH eyeing possible spring commitment with SEC, ACC teams standing out

Trenton McCorvey is eyeing making a possible commitment decision in the spring.

McCorvey attends Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama. He holds offers from Arkansas, Ole Miss, Tulane, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and others. The junior is interested in making a decision fairly soon.

“I wanna be committed as soon as possible,” McCorvey recently told Touchdown Alabama.

A spring commitment looks to be very possible for the Thompson product. Auburn, SMU and Duke are teams showing heavy interest in McCorvey at the moment, but they have not offered him yet. The three-star recruit and Tennessee are working to set up a summer official visit. He plans to weigh a variety of factors when he makes his decision.

“I will weigh my relationship with the coaching staff, do they play guys young, location, many things like that,” McCorvey said.

At 6-foot-1 and 205 pounds, McCorvey is an athletic linebacker, who can play sideline to sideline. He shines while attacking downhill, and he can also make tackles in space.

“I’m very much downhill,” McCorvey said. “I am physical, and I’m versatile.”
