James Spann provides positive forecast for Alabama vs. Georgia

Broadcast Meteorologist James Spann provided a positive weather update on the forecast for the Alabama vs. Georgia game.

Spann joined Paul Finebaum on “The Paul Finebaum Show” Wednesday to provide a weather update for Saturday in Tuscaloosa.

“We now believe the primary threat of wind, rain, flooding, tornadoes in Tuscaloosa will be Saturday morning into early Saturday afternoon,” Spann said. “We are getting the idea that maybe by kickoff, there is a chance, the wide spread rain will be North of Tuscaloosa, and there may be a shower or two, but nothing like what is going to happen Saturday morning.”

Tropical Storm Isaias is threatening the Southeast ahead of this weekend.

The University of Alabama and the SEC are both monitoring the weather situation.

Alabama and Georgia are set to compete in a top-10 matchup on Saturday, and kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m.
