The biggest week of Alabama’s regular season is here.
After having an off week, Nick Saban spoke to reporters on Monday in providing an update on Tua Tagovailoa and complimenting Joe Burrow of LSU. Both teams carry top-10 offenses and defenses that have improved each week.

This is the second time that ESPN’s College GameDay will be in Tuscaloosa, Ala., for the Crimson Tide versus the Tigers since the 2011 “Game of the Century.”
Among the aspects that will be on the line include a spot in the Southeastern Conference title game, College Football Playoff implications, Heisman Trophy implications and the No. 1 quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft.
When it comes to Tagovailoa, Saban said the junior quarterback was able to perform some things on last week.
He continues to progress in his rehab, but he’s still a ‘game-time decision’ this week.
As for Burrow, Saban said he can make all the throws on the field.
“I think he is very bright, in terms of he throws the ball in the right place relative to the defense,” Saban said of Burrow. “He is very athletic. So, sometimes when those plays are not there…He extends plays and makes plays downfield. He also has the capability of running and creating some problems for the defense from that standpoint. So, he a really good scrambler to run or throw. I think he fits their scheme well, but I think he is a very talented guy.”
Alabama will try to apply as much pressure to Burrow as possible, especially with seeing how Auburn and Mississippi State were both able to affect LSU’s offense.
Since becoming the Tide’s coach in 2007, Saban is 10-3 all-time versus the Tigers.
