Smith joins another former Crimson Tide standout in Ha’Sean “HaHa” Clinton-Dix.
After spending his freshman season at LSU and playing at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, the native Floridian signed in Alabama’s 2018 recruiting class. In his lone season with the Tide, Smith totaled 60 tackles, five pass breakups and a team-high three interceptions (one returned for a touchdown) in 15 games.
He helped the program win a Southeastern Conference Championship and make its fifth consecutive appearance in the College Football Playoff.
Despite not being selected through seven rounds of the 2019 NFL Draft, the Jaguars signed Smith as an undrafted free agent.
