Should he strike while the iron is hot?

Even with him trying to lead Alabama football to a national championship, this question has to be on Mac Jones’ mind in terms of next year’s NFL Draft. He has created major value for himself with his performance this season, as he is a projected first-rounder for both Todd McShay and Mel Kiper Jr. of ESPN. Despite not having a lot of starts at quarterback, the redshirt junior has the Crimson Tide with the top scoring offense (47.2 ppg) and second-best total offense (555.2 ypg) in the Southeastern Conference through six games. When it comes to national rankings, its numbers in both categories are in the top five.

Jones is the leader in this year’s Heisman race and he will also be nominated for a few individual honors.

On Monday, yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine discussed the Tide’s quarterback on In My Own Words.
