By: Larry Burton

Yes this is the week before “Rivalry Week” and there are lots of questions that will be answered this week, even if some teams have cremepuff kind of games before rivalry week. Going in order of kickoff times, here are some of the questions that will be answered on Saturday around the SEC.

Alabama –

How long do the first team players stay in this game? My guess: not very long.

Does Saban care if he wins by 50 or by 7> My guess: He always cares about even the fourth string doing things right, but he’ll take a win and no further injuries to his starters over a 50 point win.

How many carries will the last string running back get in this game? My guess: seven

Auburn –

Like Alabama, how long will the starters be in ? My guess, the first half. Auburn wants to win big to move up in the rankings.

Does Malzahn care if he wins by 50 or 7? My guess, yes! When a coach is on the hot seat and he has been, you better win big even though if they win out they’re in.

How many carries will the last string running back get in this game? My guess: none

Mississippi State –

They’re playing an Arkansas team that is due, so they better not take it easy on them, so do the Bulldogs still play like they’re in a funk over the close Alabama loss? My guess: no

Will they rest the starters to get ready for Ole Miss, their big rivalry game next week? My guess: not very much

Are all these Dan Mullen could be leaving stories going to affect the play of this team? My guess, no.

Will Snell have a good day running against that Georgia defense? My guess: yes

Georgia –

Will the Bulldogs still be in a funk after the Auburn loss and not play sharp? My guess: yes

Can the Bulldogs cover the 21.5 spread: My guess no, my take is more like 13

If the do get ahead, will they rest their starters for the Ga. Tech game next week? My guess: no, they’ll want to win big to impress voters in the poll

South Carolina –

How long do the Gamecocks leave the starters in for this game? My guess: First half, then after opening drive of the second half, they’re gone.

Will coach Muschamp rest his starters and not care about winning impressively to get ready for Clemson? My guess: of course

How bad is Wofford? My guess: really bad

Florida –

Have the Gators just given up on this season entirely? My guess: they’ll play like have

Did Las Vegas get the point spread wrong on this game? It’s Texas A&M by only 2. My guess: Yes, Aggies by 14

How many times do the announcers bring up Ole Miss possibly replacing their coach next season? My guess: three
