Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa gets his measurements from junior Pro Day

Reinhold Matay - USA TODAY Sports

Proof may be hard to come by on whether Kyler Murray of Oklahoma is 5-foot-10; however, Tua Tagovailoa of Alabama football has received confirmation on his measurements.

The second-year starter at quarterback was the main attraction at junior Pro Day, as Jim Nagy – executive director of the Reese’s Senior Bowl — was on the University of Alabama campus on Wednesday performing measurements on juniors and rising seniors.

He is far more focused on spring practice, which starts on Friday, but the native Hawaiian knows that could be the No. 1 pick of the 2020 NFL Draft – should things progress smoothly next fall.

Tagovailoa is coming off a sophomore year where he set multiple single-season school records, including 3,966 passing yards, 43 touchdown passes and 48 total scores. He turned in five games with at least 300 yards passing, while leading the Crimson Tide’s offense to an average of 45.6 points and 522 yards per matchup.

Per Nagy, the former five-star records a height of 6-feet and weighs 230 pounds. Tagovailoa’s hand size is impressive at 10 1/8” and his arms measured out at 30 6/8”.

Judging off his hair, Tagovailoa actually met the height of 6-3.

After falling short of a national championship in 2018, he carries the highest odds to win the Heisman Memorial Trophy for 2019.

Tagovailoa is looking forward to having the guidance of Steve Sarkisian (offensive coordinator/QBs coach) and propelling Alabama back to winning the College Football Playoff Trophy.
