Tide fans will have an opportunity to see Alabama’s newest verbal commit, Bryce Young, in action, when Mater Dei High School takes on St. John’s High School this Friday live on the ESPN television network.
Young is a 5-Star recruit and is a product of Santa Ana, California.
The Tide got a verbal commitment from Young after an official visit to Tuscaloosa last weekend. Young’s commitment gave Alabama their 23rd verbal commit in the 2020 recruiting class.

The Alabama commit is coming off a 500 passing yards and four rushing touchdowns performances. Young helped Mater Dei get a win over national power, St. Frances Academy, 34-18, in his latest outing. He will look to have another good outing against a loaded St. John’s team this week.
The game will be televised on ESPNU and kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. CST.
