Harris is a product of North Shore High School in Houston, Texas. Alabama was joined by Texas, LSU and Texas A&M in Harris’ top four. Harris received an offer from Alabama in June of 2019 after a good showing at a Nick Saban Football Camp.

“This offer means the world to me,” Harris told Touchdown Alabama after he received an offer from the Tide. “Alabama is definitely one of my all-time favorites and being offered by arguably the greatest coach of all time is legendary. I am definitely blessed beyond measures.”

Nick Saban had a deep conversation with Harris and made sure he knew he was going to be one of the Tide’s top targets during Harris’ visit to Tuscaloosa in 2019.

“It was positive and insightful,” Harris said. “He let me know that this was just the beginning and not to let the offers or any other hype keep me from staying on my grind on the field and in the classroom. He also let me know that he does not offer freshmen often and from this point on, he would be keeping close tabs on everything I have going on. He stressed the importance of staying humble and continuing to work on becoming the best student-athlete I can be.”

Harris’ game has grown a lot since he received an offer from Alabama as a freshman. The Texas product now stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs 180 pounds. The Mustangs of North Shore line him up at the cornerback position, where he displays good ball skills and an ability to turn turnovers into touchdowns. The Alabama target also makes good-form tackles.

Alabama does not have a defensive back committed in the 2022 recruiting class, but it will look to sign several and continue to add to its stockpile. Harris looks to be one of the Tide’s top defensive back targets.
