A few national media pundits took Mississippi to upset Alabama at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Chris Doering, a former wide receiver for the Florida Gators, started the trend during a segment on SEC Network.
After the Crimson Tide beat his Alma mater, Doering referred to those who considered Alabama elite as “clowns.”
He also said Lane Kiffin and the Rebels would walk into Tuscaloosa and win. Alabama’s defense had Doering in for a rude awakening as it shut out Mississippi in the first half. Tide fans roasted the ESPN analyst throughout the game on Twitter.
