Breaking: College Football Playoff to expand to 12 teams for 2024 season

College football fans are rejoicing now with breaking news from the Associated Press.

According to the publication, the College Football Playoff will expand to 12 teams starting in the 2024 season.

The Rose Bowl agreed to terms for 2024 and 2025, allowing the expansion to happen.

Many conversations about expanding the playoff to six and eight teams have happened for a while. We now will get the expansion of 12 teams, which means more exciting football to enjoy on the biggest stage. If the expansion happened this year, the University of Alabama would be in the playoff. The Crimson Tide sits on the outside at No. 6, and it hopes for chaos to happen this weekend as conference championship games will be played. People have wanted the CFP to be expanded, and this wish has come true.
