Alabama now has another link to NFL history following the retirement of Tom Brady last week.

Now that Brady is stepping away from the game for good it now means that the future Hall of Fame quarterback threw his final completion to former Crimson Tide wide receiver Julio Jones.

Jones’ reception came during the Buccaneers’ final drive of its divisional-round loss to the Cowboys which went for a 12-yard gain.

Funny enough, Brady’s pass to Jones bookends his first and final completions in the NFL to a pair of former Alabama receivers.

All the way back in 2000 when he began his career with the New England Patriots, Brady’s first career completion went to former Alabama tight end Rod Rutledge in a game against the Detroit Lions.

Now Crimson Tide fans will have the upper hand in any future trivia match.
