TJ Lindsey tweeted Thursday he received an offer from Alabama a couple hours after he released his top 10 schools.
Lindsey is originally from Bryant, Arkansas, but he will play his senior season at IMG Academy. Most recruiting sites list him as a 2024 three-star defensive lineman recruit at the moment, but his rating is subject to change with more eyeballs on him in Bradenton, Florida. He has Auburn, Arkansas, Miami, Michigan, Missouri, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M and USC in his top ten.
The Crimson Tide leaped into Lindsey’s recruitment with plans to become a contender. Alabama’s defensive line coach Freddie Roach has made that clear.
“They just want to get me down there, and coach Roach said he is going to recruit me hard,” Lindsey told Touchdown Alabama.
Alabama has recruited IMG at a high level, specifically in the trenches with Tyler Booker and J.C. Latham being among the latest IMG products to sign with Alabama and produce early in Tuscaloosa. The Crimson Tide’s player development up-front stands out to Lindsey.
“I have high praise for what they’ve been able to do, obviously a historic program with the greatest head coach ever,“ Lindsey said. “They have had amazing development over the years, especially in the linemen area.”
The Arkansas product is looking to ‘possibly’ visit Alabama in June. Fortunately for the Tide, Lindsey does not have a commitment timeline in mind at the moment There is time for them t build u their relationship with the 2024 prospect.
Lindsey is listed at 6-foot-5 and 265 pounds on his latest HUDL highlight. He displays a high motor, great use of his hands and impressive athleticism for a guy his size during his junior film.
