Georgia physical LB Luke Metz earns Alabama offer, schedules 2 visits

Alabama football jumped into the consistently growing recruitment of Luke Metz on Monday.

Metz is a rising prospect out of Mills Creek High School in Georgia. His recruitment continues to trend upward with offers from LSU, Oklahoma and Tennessee in recent months. He is on pace to be a consensus four-star recruit in the future.

Alabama’s defensive coordinator Kane Wommack informed Metz of his offer from the Crimson Tide.

“Coach Wommack reached out and called me,” Metz told Touchdown Alabama. “I was super fired up. Alabama has always been a dream school.”

Metz has a deep admiration for Alabama and its past success.

“I love it,” said Metz. “The history is amazing. The whole program just stands out to me. It’s a legacy.”

Alabama will get Metz on campus twice in the coming weeks.

“I’m going to visit this weekend along with LSU, and I am going to go back and visit on April 6,” Metz said.

The Georgia product is a 6-foot-3 linebacker, who is effective at reading and attacking as he sifts through traffic and meets ball carriers in the hole. The 2025 prospect appears to play with his hair on fire. Metz feels his athleticism and his physicality are just a few of the strong points of his game.
