North Alabama transfer punter and Dothan High School product Adam Watford is set to transfer to Alabama.
Watford averaged 40.8 yards per punt in 2024 for the Lions. He achieved his career-long of 63 yards in 2024 against Illinois State. He destroyed that career long in 2025 with a 74 yard punt and improved his average to 46.6 per punt.
The Alabama native was the Lions’ primary punter for three seasons. He pinned opponents inside of their own 20 more than 20 times.
The Crimson Tide is losing its starting punter from 2025 in Blake Doud.
