Ty Simpson might have improved his draft stock during the media interview portion of the NFL Scouting Combine.
Simpson was asked to recite the longest play call he could remember from his time at Alabama. The former five-star recruit recited the play call flawlessly, dove into the situation when the play was called and discussed the outcome of the play.
“Touchdown against Wisconsin,” Simpson said. “I hit Germ on the dig route. It was about the 45 to 50-yard line. So, it would have been H Swag to triple left narrow, frito tiger, wide over, Z Commander staple. So, it’s a Dover, it’s an in-cut by Germ reading that man zone, had the motion to see what the defense was, and it was a three-weak. They spun down to 1-high and Germ ran a good route. Isaiah (Horton) pinned the hook player and Germ made a great catch and Lottie (Lotzeir Brooks) did a good job of clearing it out, and he scored.”
Shoutout to the woman in the Ty Simpson scrum who asked him what the longest play call he could recite from Bama was. He gave us the game, the yard marker, the call, the coverage. pic.twitter.com/ePnuM8BrhD

Coaches and scouts are looking for a quarterback who can talk football in meetings at the combine, and Simpson surely can.
