It’s no secret Alabama struggled to run the ball efficiently all of last season, and it will certainly need to do a better job on the ground in 2026. But after some player and personnel changes, the Crimson Tide may now be primed for a better run game in 2026.

A major issue with the inability to establish the run last season came as a result of an offensive line, one that also struggled in pass protection as well. Once the offseason arrived, it didn’t take long for head coach Kalen DeBoer to release offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic and ultimately find his replacement in veteran assistant coach Adrian Klemm.
