Carter Davis has announced a commitment to West Virginia, he tells Touchdown Alabama. He chose the Mountaineers over Mississippi State and others.
Davis attends Gulf Shores High School, and he is a member of the 2027 recruiting class. His commitment gives West Virginia 15 2027 commits.
“From the first time I got to West Virginia, it just felt like home,” Davis said. “Coach Rodriguez, Coach Pat, Coach Bradley and Natalee made me and my parents feel welcomed from day one. What really stood out to me was how consistent they were. Every time I came back, it was the same love, the same energy and the same belief in me. That meant a lot to me and my family because it showed me that I wasn’t just another recruit. They genuinely cared about me as a person. The relationships I built with the coaches and staff made this decision easy.”
The rising senior is currently listed at 6-foot and 170 pounds. He is an explosive prospect who explodes out of his release off the line of scrimmage and continues to accelerate as he creates separation. The Mountaineers are getting one of the most dangerous players in the country.
