The Alabama Crimson Tide will face the Mississippi State Bulldogs on the road in Starkville this weekend.

The Tide will enter Saturday’s contest with a 4-0 record to begin the year. Alabama will undoubtedly face their biggest test of the young season on the road against a talented Bulldogs’ team, and the Tide will need to play at an extremely high level in all aspects despite the expected hostile environment in Starkville.

Mississippi State head coach Jeff Lebby recently shared his excitement towards Saturday, as Lebby believes their matchup with the Tide is an excellent opportunity despite being an incredible challenge.

“Our guys are excited to be back at home at 11 a.m. and understand that this is the biggest game of the year, because it’s the next game of the year.” Lebby said. “We’ll continue to play, operate and go about our business the right way with that mindset. Again, it’s going to give us an opportunity to go win. Gonna be an incredible challenge, but again our guys are excited about that piece of it, that’s what this schedule is week in and week out. I liked their attitude and their energy in the building this morning.”

Alabama defeated Mississippi State by a final score of 40-17 during the latest chapter of The Battle of Highway 82 in 2023. Each program is widely regarded as a top team in the nation entering the matchup, and Alabama will look to improve to 3-0 in SEC play with a massive win on the road against the Bulldogs.
