Alabama suffered a difficult loss to Georgia in the CFP National Championship Game, but Coach Nick Saban will use this as motivation to return the Crimson Tide to the title stage again.
People will blame several aspects for the loss, but one super Crimson Tide targets injuries as the main culprit.
ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith is an unapologetic Alabama fan. He sounded off on people via First Take and spoke about how not having its top two receivers hurt the Crimson Tide against the Bulldogs. Jameson Williams and John Metchie both totaled 1,000+ receiving yards in the 2021 season. Williams was Alabama’s deep threat, while Metchie was an all-around target for Bryce Young.
Oh, these damn Pom Pom folks are getting on my nerves on @FirstTake. We’re just going to ignore that @AlabamaFTBL was down it’s top-2 receivers, with fill-ins dropping passes left and right. No matter. They’ll avenge this next year. And I’ll take care of everyone once I return.

Metchie suffered a knee injury in the SEC Championship Game, and Williams hurt his knee in the CFP title game.

Alabama had young receivers to play in the second half against Georgia, but they were not ready for the moment. The Tide suffered several dropped passes, and Young was frustrated at quarterback. Smith knows Alabama will be back in the CFP National Championship Game again, especially with how Coach Saban recruits. Spring football will be interesting in Tuscaloosa.
