Sunseri, 68, is the new defensive tackles coach for the Buffaloes. The news got announced Thursday as Sunseri returns to on-field duties after being transitioned off-field last year at Alabama. He served as the “Senior Special Assistant to the Head Coach.” Sunseri was an assistant head coach and linebackers coach for the Tide from 2009 to 2011, helping the program to BCS National Championships in 2009 and 2011. He returned to the Tide in 2019 as an outside linebackers coach, mentoring the position from 2019 to 2021. Sunseri assisted Saban to a College Football Playoff National Championship in 2020.
Coach Deion “Prime” Sanders has another guy from Saban’s staff on his team.
