Former Alabama player Carson Tinker signs with Jaguars

An alumnus of the University of Alabama football program is back in the National Football League.

Carson Tinker, a former long snapper for the Crimson Tide, returns to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

According to NFL.com, Tinker is back with the first team that took a chance on him after going undrafted in 2013.

He became the top long snapper in the 2013 NFL Draft, following his career in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Tinker assisted the Tide to three BCS National Championships (2009, 2011, 2012) as a walk-on and a scholarship player.  He became a two-time Southeastern Conference, helping Leigh Tiffin and Jeremy Shelley be successful kickers. Tinker played for the Jaguars from 2013 to 2018, and then bounced to the New York Giants, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Rams, and Seattle Seahawks.

He got a Super Bowl ring for being on the Rams’ practice squad during its 2021 NFL Championship.
