Alabama football is now a major contender for Kamhariyan Johnson after hosting him for its Junior Day over the weekend.
Johnson attends Muscle Shoals High School in Alabama, and he is a 2026 prospect. His recent offer list, includes offers from Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Florida, LSU and others.
The in-state recruit feels the Tide have solidified their spot in his recruitment after the visit
“They will be a contender, and I will be taking an official visit on June 6-8,” Johnson told Touchdown Alabama.
Johnson’s latest visit allowed him the opportunity to spend time around Alabama’s players and coaches.
“I got to spend time with the coaches and watch the basketball game vs Georgia,” Johnson said.
Kalen DeBoer also spent some one on one time with Johnson.
“It went good,” said Johnson when talking about conversation with DeBoer. “I got to learn more about him and what he looks for in the program.”
Johnson is listed at 6-foot-5 and 260 pounds. He is one of the most versatile defensive lineman prospects in the 2026 recruiting class with his rare ability to play in space and get sideline to sideline at his size. He has also shown the ability to get to the quarterback with active hands upon the rush.
The junior finished the 2024 season with 11 sacks, 47 tackles and 13 tackles for loss.
