Mississippi 300-pound OL says Alabama is ‘pretty high’ in his recruitment after re-classification

Hayden Ainsworth is looking to take a visit to Alabama on April 12 for A-Day as he remains heavily interested in the Crimson Tide after re-classifying from the 2027 class.

Ainsworth is a product of Biloxi High School in Mississippi. He holds football offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Ole Miss, North Carolina, North Carolina State and others. The sophomore is one of several 2027 prospects, who decided to re-classify from the 2027 class to the 2026 class.

Alabama offered Ainsworth in January when he was a member of the 2027 recruiting class. He has managed to build a relationship with multiple members of the Tide’s coaching staff after multiple visits to Tuscaloosa during the 2024 season.

“They stand pretty high,” Ainsworth told Touchdown Alabama at Under Armour New Orleans. “Coach Kap (Kapilovic/Alabama OL coach) and coach Eron (Hodges/ Alabama Associate Director of Player Personel), they’ve been heavy in my recruitment.”

Alabama is remaining in contact with Ainsworth. The Mississippi product is hoping to lock in an official visit with the Tide in the future as he admires the success the Tide have had at developing offensive linemen, and he has a relationship with Alabama’s Kadyn Proctor.

“They’re pretty active,” said Ainsworth. “They text me at least probably two to three times a week. I love what coach Kap stands for. I’ve talked to Proctor.
I’ve got Proctor in my contacts. I love how (Tyler) Booker plays. Booker’s a dog. There’s obviously a lineage of development.”

The 6-foot-5, 305-pounder is a strong offensive lineman, who is projected to line up as an interior lineman at the next level.
