Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy missed last week against Detriot because of a groin injury.
He has battled medical mishaps all season and was benched two weeks ago for veteran James Starks due to a lack in production. Lacy did not start in Sunday’s game against Minnesota, but the former Alabama standout outplayed Starks. He totaled 100 rushing yards on 22 carries.
Lacy’s 27-yard run in the second quarter (longest of the game) helped set up a 40-yard field attempt for kicker Mason Crosby. Crosby nailed the kick to give Green Bay a 9-6 advantage.
Lacy averaged 4.5 yards per carry and recorded his first 100-yard game of this season. Green Bay bounced back into the win column 30-13, snapping a three-game losing streak.
Now at 7-3, the Packers lead the NFC North.
It will face Chicago (4-6) next week.
