Alabama football recently extended an offer to Cam Toomey.

Toomey attends Saratoga Springs High School in New York, and he garners a four-star rating from most recruiting sites. He is considered the No. 1 2028 prospect in the state of New York. The edge defender feels earning an offer from Alabama gives him an opportunity to be a part of something special in Tuscaloosa.

“It means so much to me coming from such a powerhouse of a program and having the opportunity to play there in Tuscaloosa is very exciting, such great history,” Toomey told Touchdown Alabama. “That would be amazing to be a part of.”

Toomey holds previous offers from Ohio State, Notre Dame, Missouri, Virginia Tech and others.

At 6-foot-3 and 240 pounds, Toomey flashes the ability to be a great pass rusher in the future with his ability to play with active hands combined with his length, athleticism and great get-off.

“I’d say my get off and pass rush ability are definitely my strengths right now since I’ve been trying to perfect my moves all offseason, and it’s definitely working,” Toomey said.

Alabama will look to get Toomey on campus in the future.
