Pair of Alabama football players graduate

Alabama football congratulated Austin Mack and Conor Talty for earning their college degrees on Thursday.

Mack and Talty are both involved in position battles ahead of fall camp. Mack is competing to possibly be the Crimson Tide’s starting quarterback this fall. Talty is looking to keep his job from last season as Alabama’s starting kicker.

Keelon Russell is competing for Alabama’s starting quarterback role along side Mack. Lorcan Quinn is expected to compete alongside Talty to be Alabama’s starting kicker.

Mack saw very limited playing time during the 2026 season. The 6-foot-6 signal-caller threw for 228 yards and two touchdowns in his limited play. Talty was 16-of-23 on field goals last season.
