Eagles sign ex-Tide OG Chance Warmack

Don McPeak-USA TODAY Sports

More help has come for quarterback Carson Wentz and the Eagles’ rushing attack.

After four seasons with the Tennessee Titans, the fifth-year option for offensive guard Chance Warmack was not picked up. Per a report from Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk, Philadelphia signed Warmack on Thursday to a one-year deal worth $1.51 million – upon being released.

He was taken in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft, but did not pan out to be formidable run blocker and pass protector that Tennessee wanted. He missed 14 games last season, due to being placed on injured reserve (hand). Before the National Football League, Warmack was a four-year starter at the University of Alabama.

He was a part of three BCS national championship teams (2009, 2011-12).
