Some chatter has already started for Saturday’s Iron Bowl between Alabama and Auburn.

Bo Nix discussed how Alabama gets all the calls from the officials, and Bryce Young’s rebuttal to Nix’s statement was ‘that’s just an external factor.’ The Tigers are looking to salvage its season while spoiling the Crimson Tide’s season in the process.

Alabama looks to keep all its postseason goals in front.

The Tide has some in-state natives — including Malachi Moore, Paul Tyson, Pierce Quick, Kendall Randolph, LaBryan Ray, Jah-Marien Latham, Jalyn Armour-Davis, DJ Dale, Kool-Aid McKinstry, and Roydell Williams — that were born into the rivalry.

Javion Cohen, a sophomore, is someone who takes this matchup personally.

He grew up an hour east of Auburn in Phenix City, Ala.

He was a dominant offensive lineman at Central High School, earning four stars from Touchdown Alabama Magazine’s independent recruiting rankings. The 6-foot-4, 305-pounder chose the Tide over the Tigers in the 2020 signing class.

Cohen won the starting job at left guard in fall camp and missed one game.

He’s allowed one sack, 4.5 quarterback hits, and six pressures in 656 snaps. Cohen has ten knockdown blocks on the season. On Monday, he got Tide fans pumped up via Twitter with one statement. His message was “Y’all know what week it is?”

Several fans reacted to his post, as they are ready to beat Auburn at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Alabama looks to redeem itself after suffering defeats in 2017 and 2019.
