5-Star Ryan Wingo enjoys first visit to Alabama

Ryan Wingo

Ryan Wingo visited Alabama football for the first time Saturday.

Wingo is a product of St. Louis University High School in Missouri. He is considered one of the top wide receivers in the 2024 recruiting class with around 40 offers to his name. The Missouri product said his first visit to Alabama was a success.

“It was great,” Wingo told Touchdown Alabama. “It was my first time up there, so I got to take in the experience.”

Alabama offered Wingo on Feb. 6. He made it a priority to get to Tuscaoosa on the first weekend visits were allowed again. Nick Saban had an opportunity to meet with Wingo during his visit to Tuscaloosa, and the pair had a great conversation.

“It was good,” said Wingo. “We talked for a few, and it was just great vibes and conversations.”

Wingo is listed at 6-foot-2 and approximately 190 pounds. He can create separation at the top of routes with his ability to accelerate and hit another gear once he gets into space. He can create plays as a returner on special teams and with the football in his hands in space.
