Rumors happened in the summer on the possibility of him getting traded, but Derrick Henry stayed with the Tennessee Titans.

He is about to accomplish 1,000 yards rushing for the fifth time in eight years.

Henry, a University of Alabama alumnus, propelled the Titans to a 28-27 comeback victory over the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football. He recorded two rushing touchdowns, advancing him to 10 scores on the season. Henry is tied for fourth in the National Football League for rushing scores despite being 29 years old. Most running backs hit a wall as they approach 30, but Henry appears to be defying the narrative. He ranks in the top five among backs in the NFL for rushing attempts (214), rushing yards (875) and touchdowns. The 2015 Heisman Trophy winner for Alabama is 125 yards away from 1,000 yards rushing.

Henry is a two-time rushing champion in the NFL, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, a first-team All-Pro selection, and an NFL Offensive Player of the Year winner. The Titans are not having a great season at 5-8, but Henry is still producing.

If it can go on a four-game winning streak, Henry could help the Titans finish the regular season at 9-8.
