Alabama football is 2-1 after defeating the Wisconsin Badgers to move over .500.

Here are our initial takeaways from the win:

– Ty Simpson is playing with supreme confidence at the moment. A switch appeared to turn on for him against Louisiana-Monroe, and he used the confidence he gained against the Warhawks in the Tide’s win against the Badgers.

– Ryan Williams is still Hollywood. Williams may have heard some of the doubters throwing dirt on his name in recent weeks after a shaky start to the season against Florida State. The former five-star showed why he is still the same player, who mesmerized college football fans as a 17-year-old.

– Alabama football’s rushing attack needs to establish a better rhythm. For most of the game, the Crimson Tie failed to have consistent success on the ground. Jam Miller will be a welcome addition back to this squad for this very reason.

– The Tide’s defense was flying around the football while staying very disciplined. They also forced turnovers and got to the Wisconsin quarterback. Alabama’s defense is trending upwards heading into the BYE week.

– The Crimson Tide must continue to clean up penalties. Similar to Louisiana-Monroe, penalties tend to get looked over when you are in control of the game
