Things got testy early into AJ McCarron’s head coaching career in the UFL on Friday. The Birmingham Stallions opened its season on the road against the Louisville Kings, and following the first half an incident occurred involving a Kings fan and a member of the Stallions.
As the teams entered halftime each walked past a group of fans near the concessions and words were exchanged between both groups which eventually resulted in a fan throwing a beer at the team. Several players were held back from further confronting the group but McCarron immediately stepped into the situation involving security to try and handle the matter.

Despite the scrum, McCarron and Stallions were able to muster the last laugh in Louisville.
Late in the fourth quarter, Stallions quarterback Matt Corral led a game winning drive where he connected with Alabama native Justyn Ross for a touchdown with just under two minutes remaining which ultimately led to a 15-13 victory.
McCarron is now on the board with his first career win as a head coach and will be running it back next Sunday when the team travels to play the Houston Gamblers on April 5.
