Alabama football is back to having at least one physically imposing wide receiver.
It is truly scary to imagine the potential this former five-star has for the Crimson Tide, especially if he lives up to his billing.
Cederian Morgan, an alumnus of Benjamin Russell High School in Alexander City, Ala., is built like former Southeastern Conference wide receivers Julio Jones (Alabama) and DK Metcalf (Ole Miss).
Alabama freshman wide receiver living up to expectations: “You throw it in there, he gonna catch it”
The 6-foot-4, 223-pounder has a frame that looks like he was created in a laboratory to dominate college football.
After a terrific high school career, the multi-sport athlete enrolled early at the University of Alabama to participate in spring practice. Morgan’s size, hands, and playmaking abilities turned heads in practice.
He had a really good spring game with three catches for 74 yards and a touchdown.
Morgan earned the nickname “Gulf of Mexico” from teammate, Ryan Coleman-Williams, and cornerback Dijon Lee praised his hands as he did not drop a pass in spring ball. A photo landed on social media recently of Morgan working out at Benjamin Russell High School before graduation. He looked jacked with no shirt on and appears to have no body fat.
Last senior workout in the books. 🏈

Morgan has the body of “The Terminator” and it is going to be fun watching him destroy defensive backs on 50/50 ball opportunities. He is prepared to be next in a lineage of freshman wide receivers that have had success at Alabama.
