Isaac McNeil is set to announce a commitment decision on Tuesday, and the Alabama Crimson Tide is currently not in a strong position with the talented linebacker.

McNeil is a 2027 four-star linebacker out of Vigor High School in Alabama, and he is one of the most talented off-the-ball linebacker prospects in the country. He is coming off official visits to Auburn and Georgia and those teams are sitting in a solid position with the talented linebacker, sources tell Touchdown Alabama.

Alabama has been recruiting the linebacker for months. The Tide extended an offer to McNeil in January, and the Tide’s inside linebacker coach Chuck Morrell was quick to make him a priority. Morrell got out to Vigor multiple times during the spring, and McNeil also visited Alabama. Unfortunately for Alabama, those efforts may not pay off on Tuesday.

McNeil previously locked in a June 19 official visit. It remains to be seen if that visit will happen.

LSU has also hosted the four-star linebacker for an official visit. The Tigers remain a contender ahead of McNeil’s decision, alongside Florida.

Alabama currently holds a commitment from one 2027 linebacker, with a pledge from Kenneth Simon.
