Jayce Halasz is expected to return to Alabama for a visit next week after earning an offer from the Crimson Tide in April.
Halasz currently attends Graham Kapowsin High School in Graham, Washington. He is expected to be ranked as one of the best athletes in the 2028 recruiting class in the future. The Washington product holds offers from Alabama, Oregon, USC and others.
The Tide offered Halasz as a wide receiver, but he also holds offers to play cornerback at the next level.
“An offer from Alabama means a lot because of the standard they’ve set for college football,” Halasz told Touchdown Alabama. “It’s a program that consistently competes at the highest level and develops players into the NFL. Just to know that a program with that reputation sees potential in me is an honor. But I’d say more than anything, it motivates me to keep working because I know myself and there’s still a lot of room for growth.”
Halasz’s dad Scott Halasz grew up in Alabama and his parents still live in the state. The 2028 prospect has visited the state on a consistent basis throughout his life.
With an offer list that is sure to grow in the future, and Halasz plans to look deeply at each program.
“I’m looking for a program that will challenge me to become the best version of myself and hold me accountable,” said Halasz. “Relationships with the coaching staff are huge because those are the people I’ll be around every day. Player development is obviously important to me, especially at my position, because I want to continue growing as a receiver. I’m also looking at the culture of the program, the people in the locker room, like who I’m surrounding myself with, academics and how well a school prepares its players for success both during and after football.”
At 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds, Halasz is a very impressive prospect at wide receiver. He appears to have a great feel for creating separation as a deceptive route runner. He becomes more dangerous when he gets the football in his hands with his ability to pick up yards after the catch.
“I think my ability to stretch the field and eat up defensive backs’ ground is one of my biggest strengths,” Halasz said. “I also take a lot of pride in my first-down reliability, as I’ve shown in my film, just being someone my quarterback can trust in any situation. I try to be as reliable as possible every play, whether that’s making blocking or doing the little things that help my team win. I want coaches and teammates to know exactly what they’re going to get from me every time I step on the field.”
Halasz finished the 2025 season with 1,023 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns on 64 receptions.
