Sye Byrd – 2027 TE – Saraland High Schools
2027 tight end, Sye Byrd is a unique tight-end prospect. The 6-foot-1 210-pound Byrd has good route running ability, being able to run quick inside slants and seams. Last season for the Wildcats of Citronelle, He was the main x-factor in the offense. Byrd will now look to succeed in a similar role for Saraland. He is already one of the favorite targets of Jamison Roberts.
Stevie Allen – 2027 LB – Daphne High School
Stevie Allen is the definition of a football player. Last season for the Foley Lions, Stevie started at linebacker and registered 93 tackles. He was all over the field, impacting the game in all phases. The 6-foot, 190-pound athlete transferred to Daphne High School for his junior season, and he is expected to play either quarterback or linebacker. Allen plans to visit the University of South Alabama this summer.
JaKari Harris – 2027 LB – Saraland High School
Harris is a 6-foot, 220-pound linebacker. With above-average athleticism and solid speed, he is your traditional sideline-to-sideline linebacker. Last season, Harris totaled 88 tackles, 11 tackles for loss and two sacks. Entering his junior season, his offers include Tennessee-Martin and Old Dominion. Harris recently visited Southern Miss, Troy and Florida.
Shone Tapscott – 2026 RB – Thompson High School
The most underrated running back in the state? The former West Morgan product rushed for 800 plus yards and 12 touchdowns last season. At 5-foot-8 and 180 pounds, the back is described as hard-working and you can see the production on the field. The tough runner is expected to have a solid senior season campaign. Tapscott displays a tough running style, running between the tackles and grinding for extra yardage. The way he can make defenders miss is also impressive.
Roman Woods – 2028 QB – Saraland High School-
The arm talent? Check. The prototypical size? Check. Roman Woods is a 6-foot-3, 195-pound quarterback for the Spartans. He is coming off an invite to the UA Next Football Combine. Last season as a freshman, Woods threw for 927 yards and 16 touchdowns in seven games. Woods has also received camp invites to Ole Miss and Clemson. There is no denying the projection of Woods as the future of the Saraland Spartans.
